NAVIGATION

This device includes a navigation system. Additional navigation software is required for operation, which can be purchased optionally (item no. 2010024000004).
With the navigation for the Cape Town 948 DAB you can reach any destination comfortably, quickly and relaxed. Or take a spontaneous detour to interesting places that the Cape Town 948 DAB will suggest along your route if you wish. Everything is very simple and at the touch of a finger.

APPLE CARPLAY (wireless)

Use your Apple iPhone with your Cape Town 948 DAB easily and safely in the car. With wireless Apple CarPlay, iPhone users can navigate, make calls, play music and check messages safely and intuitively – simply via voice control or the touchscreen of your Cape Town 948 DAB.

ANDROID AUTO (wireless)

Another connectivity feature of the Cape Town 948 DAB. Thanks to the intuitive interface, powerful voice controls and integrated Android Auto wireless controls, distractions are minimized while driving, so you can concentrate on the traffic.

TILT AND SWIVEL DISPLAY

SPLIT SCREEN

The Cape Town 948 DAB’s split screen mode allows you to run two applications side by side. You can listen to the radio or music from a USB stick while navigating.

MEDIA PLAYER

SOUND TUNING

Using the graphic interface of the Cape Town 948 DAB, the digital sound processor with time delay and its 16-band equalizer can be easily and precisely adjusted for individual sound optimization in the vehicle. But if “playing with the frequencies” isn’t your thing, there are a whole range of preset sound profiles available. Depending on your personal taste, from pop, rock, electro, jazz to classical music.

ANALOG RADIO

With the high-end tuner generation CODEM IV from Blaupunkt, there are no compromises when it comes to radio reception and RDS behavior. Once you’ve experienced it, even in the most difficult reception conditions, you won’t want to be without it.

DIGITAL RADIO

Enjoy crystal-clear, digital radio with the built-in DAB+ tuner. The enjoyment begins with the selection of the programs. Be it browsing through the available ensembles and their program structure, or simply selecting from an alphabetical list of all programs.

BLUETOOTH TELEPHONY & AUDIO STREAMING

Once your smartphone’s phone book has been synchronized with the Cape Town 948 DAB, nothing stands in the way of comfortable communication while driving and via the audio system. For the best voice quality, the integrated or an external microphone is available for the perfect installation position. The special feature: in A2DP mode, the Cape Town 948 DAB can transmit the music signal wirelessly to external Bluetooth speakers or headphones

STEERING WHEEL REMOTE CONTROL

If your vehicle is equipped with remote control on the steering wheel, you can use it together with the Blaupunkt Cape Town 948 DAB via the SWC (steering wheel control). Thanks to the SWC function, the steering wheel remote control takes over the most important functions such as volume, mute or Bluetooth of the radio.

PERMANENT MEMORY

Thanks to the built-in permanent memory, the Cape Town 948 DAB saves user settings and preset stations if the main power supply fails.

AUDIO / VIDEO INPUT

There is also flexibility with analog connections. The rear AV input allows permanent connection of external sources.
