Homemark takes command of BLAUPUNKT business for appliances and electronics in Africa
BLAUPUNKT and Homemark kick-off operational business in Sandton, South Africa
Shortly following the contract signature in September 2022 Thorsten Gebhardt and Norman Pralow representing the BLAUPUNKT brand met with the entire management team of HOMEMARK at their headquarters in South Africa.
The kick-off meeting included discussions regarding the product line, how the brand will be positioned in the region, and the creation of brand assets.
HOMEMARK in cooperation with the BLAUPUNKT brand will develop and market an extensive line-up of televisions, home and personal audio products, small domestic appliances, and lighting solutions. The range will be designed with the specific needs of the region and its consumers in mind to fit the demands flawlessly. HOMEMARK is currently the only official licensee in Africa authorized to distribute BLAUPUNKT products in these categories.
In addition to major retail chains in Africa, such as Pick n Pay, consumers will also be able to find the exclusive line-up of BLAUPUNKT products at HOMEMARK’s network of online and physical stores.

Nearly Global BLAUPUNKT Battery Partner Established
The BLAUPUNKT Global Brand Community is delighted to announce the cementing of a partnership with Advance Power Solutions (formerly Panasonic Energy Europe) to lead the BLAUPUNKT Battery business outside of the European market. Advance Power Solutions (APS) is one of the leaders of consumer batteries in Europe selling to customers in over 50 countries. They represented in all sales channels, including private label, wholesale, discounter, OEM, industrial, retail and e-commerce. Starting as soon as 2024 APS will take over the product category worldwide.

Iconic BLAUPUNKT Car Multimedia to be Shown at GITEX show DUBAI (Oct. 10-14) Ahead of New African Brand Partner Announcement
Since 1924 consumers worldwide have been able to “Enjoy It” with BLAUPUNKT branded consumer electronics. From October 10-14 visitors at GITEX in Dubai will be able to enjoy the highly regarded German brand in the Sheikh Rashid Hall at booth # SR-19A.

An entry level multimedia unit that is high-quality at an affordable cost, the SAO PAULO 450 can also be found. BLAUPUNKT Automotive Partners Commit to Reinforcing their Collaboration
While the consumer electronics world was congregating at IFA Berlin from September 2nd-6th, BLAUPUNKT Automotive Partners from across the globe used the tradeshow as an opportunity to meet in-person after a hiatus due to the pandemic.
They took the opportunity of IFA to officially welcome the newest addition to the community, Mega International, who is taking over the BLAUPUNKT Automotive Business in Africa.
A collaborative project involving the legendary vintage radios that were developed and engineered by a German Community member determined at a previous BLAUPUNKT Automotive Convention was able to give an enthusiastic update.
Through a redesigned distribution network, these timeless units can expect to make their official debut in the Americas.
One of the hottest topics of conversation surrounded continued efforts to strengthen existing harmonies in the product line-ups available worldwide.
The community members discussed unique concerns for their markets and solicited guidance from their peers on how to best tackle these challenges to ensure a consistent customer experience worldwide.
Another trending topic was a spirited discussion on new business opportunities and niche markets for the car accessories business. BLAUPUNKT delegates from the Indian and South-East Asian markets also shared their results from their first market tests and experiences.
The Automotive Partners were also able to share the subtleties and complexities of their regions to discuss how the BLAUPUNKT automotive community would react to upcoming trends and reinforce BLAUPUNKT’s position as a leading global automotive entertainment brand.

BLAUPUNKT eBike partnership for the North and South American region solidified at IFA Berlin
There were a lot of reasons for the Blaupunkt Global Brand Community to celebrate at IFA 2022. During a public signing ceremony on Monday, September 5th, BP Americas Paraguay SA secured their position as the official BLAUPUNKT eBike partner for the North and South American market.
For the greater part of a year BP Americas Paraguay SA have been establishing themselves on the North and South American market as key player in the eBike industry with their European-made BLAUPUNKT eBikes. The portfolio of foldable eBikes that was introduced to the market earlier this year was targeted toward commuters and anyone with a traveling lifestyle. These models folded to half their size and weighed only 47lbs allowing them to be comfortably stored at home or in a trunk. In addition to being compact this product line has a range of up to 44 miles, boasts 3 levels of pedal support, and the charging time from empty to full should take 4-6 hours total. The success that BLAUPUNKT has seen in both the North and South American E-mobility space led to the decision for the continued investment and growth for years to come.

The BLAUPUNKT competence center E-Bikes North America is excited to announce its hiring of the hall of fame athlete to introduce Blaupunkt E-Bikes to the USA and Canada
Manning joins the team with a background in most every facet of the action sports industry.
On his decision to join the Blaupunkt Global Brand Community as the VP or Marketing and Sales for the Blaupunkt E-Bike launch in North America Greg Manning said,
“As a long-time owner of Blaupunkt car stereos and as a veteran cyclist Blaupunkt Hit All the Marks! I jumped on the opportunity to work with Blaupunkt E-bikes.”

The Blaupunkt Competence Center North America is launching a portfolio of foldable E-bikes targeted toward commuters and anyone with a traveling lifestyle. The first sneak peak of the European-made E-Bike models for the North American market was at the Sea Otter Classic in April of 2022. This foldable E-bike line has already been well received across Europe. The 2022 models are the “Fiene 500”, “Fiete 500”, and “Henri 500”. Longstanding Blaupunkt partner extends agreement cementing a nearly 30 year partnership
The contract was prolonged for an additional 5 years after an already profitable 24 year relationship
24 years ago, in 1998, BP India Private Limited (Formerly known as Blaupunkt India Private Limited) started its cooperation with the Blaupunkt brand. The partnership was recently extended for an additional 5 years solidifying their position with Blaupunkt through 2027.
About the extension Pankaj Jagwani, CEO of BP India stated,
“Being associated with Blaupunkt for so long has created a sense of accomplishment within our organization. My team and I are known in India as Blaupunkt so it is only natural that we continue the business.”
Over the 24 year relationship the company’s role with the Blaupunkt brand saw many transformations. BP India started the relationship as a retailer before to becoming a distributor for a Bombay city. Eventually, they secured the appointment of national distributors for the Blaupunkt brand. As the business continued to flourish in the region their role changed once again to joint venture partners before finalizing the transformation as they became an official member of the Blaupunkt Global Brand Community.
”In all the roles that we have played in the Blaupunkt business the most profitable has been a license partner and we feel it will continue to do well for at least the next 10 years.”

Blaupunkt licensee Ayonz started selling televisions in Kuwait in January of 2021. Immediately there was a positive reaction from across the region, with profitable feedback beginning in the very first month of the launch. In 2019 the BLAUPUNKT TV Competence Center managed by Car Soundvision CIA LTDA performed a highly successful launch experiencing amazing market penetration by 2020 in their core country of Ecuador. The ecstatic reception that the Blaupunkt brand experienced during its triumphant launch in Ecuador was shared by end consumers and trade customers alike. Through a partnership with Super Plastronics PVT LTD (SPPL) four brand-new Blaupunkt brand Android Smart TVs that were made for the Indian market in India became available exclusively on Flipkart.
Starting in July the Indian manufacturer, Super Plastronics PVT LTD (SPPL), launched four new to the market ‘Made in India’ Android TV models. The Blaupunkt brand entered an exclusive partnership with the Indian manufacturer. Through this partnership Blaupunkt’s manufacturing, branding, designing, packaging, and retail supply chain management will be handled by SPPL, the 30-year-old manufacturer of home-grown brands. Since July 1st, 2021, Indian consumers have been able to find the new models of Blaupunkt TVs exclusively on Flipkart.
